Program
For those who love Ireland, the Irish, Celtic history and folklore, St. Patrick and the wearing of the green, the blarney, and all the rest, this study tour offers students the opportunity to explore the rich landscape of Ireland and Irish history and culture, ancient and traditional. From its storm-swept coastlines and the rough-hewn beauty of its towering cliffs, to the centuries-old ruins and ancient mysteries of its Celtic monasteries, to the quaint charm of its country cottages, lush farmland, and landscapes in multiple shades of green, this program provides the opportunity to have an unforgettable experience of the Emerald Isle. The participants explore historical, mythical, and contemporary Ireland with visits to numerous important locations such as Kilkenny, Ardmore, the Rock of Cashel, Kerry and the Iveragh Peninsula, Skellig Michael, the Dingle Peninsula, the Cliffs of Mohr, the Burren, Galway, the Aran Islands, Sligo, Yeats country, Donegal, the Hill of Tara and Newgrange, and, of course, historic Dublin, with its many fascinating attractions.
There is no program supplement charged for this study tour. For participants who pay their own expenses, the cost – inclusive except for lunches, most dinners, and incidentals – is $2800.
