Tentative Activities Calendar

Day 1
Be at the US Airways International check-in at the Charlotte Airport no later than 12:00 noon! [Allow plenty of time for security.] Depart Charlotte for Philadelphia. Depart Philadelphia for Dublin.
Day 2
Arrive Dublin. Transfer to coach for transit to Belfast. En route: stop in Drogheda for visit and lunch; Knowth; Hill of Tara. After arrival in Belfast, check-in at hotel. Brief orientation and walkabout.
Day 3
Belfast: 9:00 am pick-up at hotel for Belfast City Tour. Afternoon: Ulster Museum.
Day 4
Belfast: 8:00 am, leave hotel with luggage for Sligo. En route: Giant’s Causeway, Dunluce Castle and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. After check-in at hotel, brief orientation and walkabout.
Day 5
Sligo: 8:30 am, leave hotel for visit Carrowmere Megalithic Cemetery and Lough Glencar and Glencar Waterfall. Afternoon: Sligo Abbey.
Day 6
Sligo: 7:45 am, leave hotel for visit to W.B. Yeats Graveyard and Drumcliff High Cross and Round Tower. Afternoon: Queen Maeve’s Tomb.
Day 7
Sligo: 8:00 am, leave hotel with luggage for Galway. En route: Croaghpatrick and Famine Ship Memorial. Lunch in Westport. Afternoon: check-in at hostel, brief orientation and walkabout.
Day 8
Galway: 8:50 am, leave hotel for Cliffs of Mohr. Afternoon: Kilfenora Cathedral and High Crosses, Poulnaborne Dolemen and Gleninsheen Wedge Tomb.
Day 9
Galway: 9:00 am, leave hotel (bring FOOD for lunch) for Inishmor (Aran Islands). Upon arrival at Inishmor, tour with Rory. Late afternoon, return to mainland.
Day 10
Galway: 8:00 am, leave hotel with luggage for Dingle. After check-in at hotel, brief orientation and walkabout.
Day 11
Dingle: 8:30 am, leave hotel for Dingle Way, Slea Head Drive, Dunbeg Fort, Fahan Beehive Huts Slea Head. Afternoon: Ballyferritier Dun An Oir Fort and beach, Kilmalkedar Church, St. Brendan’s House, Gallarus Oratory.
Day 12
Dingle: 9:30 am, leave hotel for Harry Clark Windows of Diseart and Ocean World. Afternoon: EXPLORE DINGLE: bike riding, harbor walk, horseriding, etc.
Day 13
Dingle: 8:00 am, leave hotel with luggage for Kilkenny. En route: Rock of Cashel. After check-in at hotel, brief orientation and walkabout.
Day 14
Kilkenny: 8:00 am, leave hotel for Jerpoint Abbey and Waterford (lunch and Reginold’s Tower). Afternoon: St. Canice’s Cathedral and Round Tower and/or Kilkenny Castle.
Day 15
Kilkenny: 8:00 am, leave hotel with luggage (and FOOD for lunch) for Dublin. En route: Glendalough Monastic Site. After check-in at hostel , orientation and walkabout including Christ Church and Walking Tour (1916 Easter Uprising).
Day 16
Dublin: 8:45 am, leave hotel for Trinity College (Library and Book of Kells). Afternoon: Kilmainham Gaol
Day 17
Dublin: 8:30 am, leave hotel for Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, the Irish Museum of Modern Art and Writers’ Museum. Afternoon: EXPLORE DUBLIN: Dublin Castle, Grafton Bridge, O’Connell Street, Guinness Brewery, etc.
Day 18
Dublin: 9:00 am, leave hotel for National Museum. Afternoon: EXPLORE DUBLIN: Dublin Castle, Grafton Bridge, O’Connell Street, Guinness Brewery, etc.
Day 19
Dublin: 8:00 am. Leave hotel with luggage for Dublin airport. Depart Dublin, for Philadelphia. Depart Philadelphia for Charlotte.
