TENTATIVE ACTIVITIES CALENDAR

Day 1
Be at the US Airways International check-in at the Charlotte Airport no later than 12:00 noon! [Allow plenty of time for security check-in.] Depart Charlotte for Philadelphia. Depart Philadelphia for Munich.
Day 2
Arrive Munich, 9:00 am. Transfer to hotel. After hotel check-in, Munich walkabout & orientation.
Day 3
9:20 am, leave hotel for Deutsches Museum and English Garden. Afternoon: EXPLORE MUNICH -ALTERNATIVE ACTIVITIES: Peterskirche, Frauenkirche, Neue Pinakotheke, Olympiapark, Pinakothek der Moderne, Lenbachhaus, BMW Museum, etc.
Day 4
Munich: 9:15 am, leave hotel for Dachau.
Day 5
Munich: 9:30 am, leave hotel for Alte Pinakotheke. Afternoon: EXPLORE MUNICH -ALTERNATIVE ACTIVITIES: Peterskirche, Frauenkirche, Neue Pinakotheke, Olympiapark, Pinakothek der Moderne, Lenbachhaus, BMW Museum, etc.
Day 6
Munich: 8:30 am, leave hotel with luggage for coach transfer to Prague. After check-in at the hotel, Prague walkabout & orientation: Wenceslaus Square, New Town, Old Town (the Astronomical Clock), Charles Bridge. Evening: Group Dinner.
Day 7
Prague: 9:00 am, leave for Jewish Quarter. Afternoon: Convent of St. Agnes
Day 8
Prague: 8:15 am, leave hotel for tour of Prague Castle complex: St. Vitus Cathedral, Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica, Golden Lane (Kafka at #22).
[Meet Helena at the Lion's Court at 9:15 am.] Afternoon: EXPLORE PRAGUE: Old Town Hall Tower, chamber music concert, Sternberg Palace (Museum of European Art), Museum of the City of Prague, Veletrzni Palace (20th century art), National Technical Museum, Dvorak, Smetana, & Mozart museums, Loreto Palace.
Day 9
Prague: 8:15 am, leave hotel with luggage for coach transfer to Budapest. After check-in at hotel, Budapest walkabout and orientation: Vorosmarty Square, Vaci Utca, Great Market Hall.
Day 10
Budapest: 8:30 am, leave hotel for Buda and Castle Hill: Chain Bridge, Royal Palace, Fishermen’s Bastion, Matthias Church, St. Mary Magdalene Church, etc. Afternoon: EXPLORE BUDAPEST: Imre Varga Collection (sculpture), Cave Church, Great Market Hall, City Park, Hungarian State Opera, Great Synagogue, Holocaust Memorial, Hungarian National Museum
Day 11
Budapest: 8:30 am, leave hotel for tour of Pest and Andrassy Street: Heroes Square, House of Terror, State Opera House, St. Istvan’s Basilica, Parliament, Holocaust Memorial Center. Afternoon: EXPLORE BUDAPEST
Day 12
Budapest: 9:00 am, leave hotel with luggage for coach transfer to Vienna. After check-in at hotel, Vienna walkabout and orientation: Opera, Monument against War and Fascism, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, etc.
Day 13
Vienna, 9:20 am, leave hotel for Kunsthistorisches Museum. Afternoon: Freud House and/or KunstHausWien.
Day 14
Vienna: 9:00 am, leave hotel for Schloss Schönbrunn (palace and gardens). Afternoon: EXPLORE VIENNA: Hofburg (Treasury, Imperial Apartments), Neue Burg (outstanding musical instruments of the composers & Hapsburgs, armor, etc.), Haus der Musik, Museum of Modern Art, Albertina Museum, Schatzkammer, Heeresgeschichtliches Museum (military - Sarajevo assassination auto), Naturhistoriches Museum, Mozart House, Kaisergruft [Capuchin Crypt], Lipizzaner Museum, Hundertwasser House, Belvedere Palace.
Day 14
Vienna: 8:15 am, leave hotel with luggage for coach transfer to Salzburg via Melk. After visit to Benedictine Abbey and lunch in town, continue to Salzburg. After check-in at hotel, Salzburg walkabout and orientation
Day 15
Salzburg: 9:30 am, leave hotel for Salzburg walkabout: Kapuzinerberg, Mirabell Palace & Gardens, the Altstadt, Mozart’s birthplace, Salzburg Dom, St. Peter’s Cemetery, Stiftskirche St. Peter, open-air market at Kollegienkirche. Afternoon: visit to Hohensalzburg Fortress.
Day 16
Salzburg: 8:30 am, leave hotel for trip to Salt Mines and Halstadt. Afternoon: EXPLORE SALZBURG.
Day 17
Early Rising!! 7:45 AM departure, with luggage for Munich Airport via coach transfer. Depart Munich for Philadelphia. Depart Philadelphia for Charlotte.
